How Does Monetization Work?

When you subscribe to a Zeno plan, monetization is automatically activated on your station. This allows you to start earning revenue from audio ads played during your live broadcasts. No matter how big or small your audience is, you can make money through ads.

The amount you can earn is based on two main factors: your audience size and the number of ad impressions. Each time an ad is played and heard by a listener, it counts as an "impression." Your earnings are then calculated based on how many impressions are generated by your station.

You can keep track of your ad impressions and revenue in real-time by going to the Finance tab in your Zeno Tools dashboard. Please note that these figures may be adjusted at the end of the billing cycle.

We recommend running ads for at least three months to get a clear idea of how much you can earn from monetization. Also, it’s essential to actively promote your station (through your Zeno.FM microsite and the Zeno app) to boost listenership and increase ad impressions.

Payment Schedule: Ad revenue is distributed 90 days after the end of the month in which the ads were played. For instance, revenue from ads played in January would be paid out in late April or early May. To receive your first payment, you need to reach a minimum threshold of $100. Once you hit that amount, we will contact you to arrange payment details.

Pro Tip: Increase your ad revenue by promoting your station on social media and other platforms to attract more listeners.
