How to set up BUTT

Set Up BUTT to Stream to Your Zeno.fm Station

Create Your Zeno Account (if you don’t have one yet)

Before setting up BUTT, you need a Zeno account to connect your station.

1. Open BUTT and Access Settings

  • Launch BUTT and go to the main window.
  • Click “Settings”


2. Add Your Server Info

  • Click “ADD” under the Server section.
  • Open your station’s Dashboard on tools.zeno.fmBroadcast Settings to find your station details.
  • Select IceCast as the server type.
  • For Name, enter anything you like (e.g., "My Station").
  • In Address, enter the IP from the Host of your Broadcast link.
  • Fill in Port, Password, and Mountpoint from your Zeno.fm Broadcast settings. Make sure to add a “/” before the mountpoint (e.g., "/mystation").
  • Click ADD and select the server you just added.

3. Set Up the Audio

  • In Audio Settings, select:
  • Channel: Stereo
  • Codec: MP3
  • Bitrate: 128k (good quality streaming)
  • Click Save.

4. Start Streaming

  • Go back to the main BUTT window.
  • Press the Play button to start streaming audio to your station!

Tip: If you haven’t created a Zeno account yet, don’t skip 🎧 Create Your Zeno Account Now. You won’t be able to stream without an account.
