# How to Use Geo Blocking and IP Blocking for Your Podcast

Geo & IP Blocking lets you decide who can listen to your podcast. You can allow or block access by country, by IP address, or both. This is useful if your content has regional licensing limits, if a sponsor deal only covers certain markets, if you want to stop unwanted or suspicious traffic, or if your podcast is meant for a private audience.

### **Where to find it**
1. Log in to Zeno Tools.
2. In the left menu, click **Podcasts**.
3. Open the podcast you want to set up.
4. In the top menu, click **Settings**.
5. Select the **Access** tab (next to Podcast Info).
You'll see two sections: Geo Blocking and IP Blocking.

### **Geo Blocking: control access by country**
1. Under **Action**, choose **Allow** (only the countries you select can listen) or **Block** (everyone can listen except the countries you select).
2. In **Countries**, select one or more countries from the list.
3. Click **Save**.
*Example: your podcast includes music licensed only for the United States. Choose Allow, select United States, and click Save.*

### **IP Blocking: control access by IP address**
1. Under **Action**, choose **Allow** (only the IP addresses you add can listen) or **Block** (everyone can listen except the IP addresses you add).
2. In **IP addresses**, enter the IP addresses you want to allow or block.
3. Click **Save**.
*Example: you notice suspicious traffic coming from one IP address. Choose Block, add that IP, and click Save.*

### **Good to know**
* Each section has its own Save button. If you change both, save both.
* By default, Geo Blocking is set to Allow with All Countries selected, so your podcast is available everywhere until you change it.
* Using Allow with IP Blocking restricts your podcast to those IPs only. Use it carefully if your show is public.
