# What is the Metadata API?

The **Metadata API** is an endpoint that provides real-time information about a **single radio station**, such as:

* Currently playing song
* Artist name
* Show or program details
* Other station-specific metadata

It does **not** provide audio streaming or station search features.
It is designed only to supply **live metadata** for one specific station, using this format:
