Why did my 'Call To Listen' number change?

Mobile carriers often promote "unlimited" calling plans, but their agreements frequently contain hidden restrictions that can impact frequent or prolonged usage. This can particularly affect some of our most dedicated listeners, such as the elderly, those in rural areas, or the visually impaired, who often rely on traditional landline or mobile calls to access your station.

To continue serving these listeners, it may become necessary to change your Call-To-Listen (CTL) number to ensure uninterrupted access. This is primarily due to restrictions imposed by mobile carriers that could limit or block access to numbers used for extended listening periods.

How Does This Affect Your Station?

Depending on the carrier, the number associated with your station may change more frequently, even on a weekly basis. Meanwhile, other carriers allow the same number to remain active for years without issue. This variability is beyond our control, but we do everything possible to keep changes to a minimum and maintain a seamless experience for your audience.

How Do You Inform Listeners?

To minimize confusion, we always provide you with a primary Call-To-Listen number that stays consistent. However, some callers may be directed to a secondary number depending on their carrier’s restrictions. We recommend informing your audience about this possibility and encouraging them to use the number provided directly on your Zeno Tools dashboard or on your station’s profile page on Zeno.fm.

If you notice that your Call-To-Listen number is changing frequently, or if listeners report issues connecting, feel free to reach out to our support team for assistance. We’re here to help ensure your listeners continue to have uninterrupted access to your station!
