How to Enable Mid-Roll Ads for Monetization

What Are Mid-Roll Ads?

Mid-roll ads are advertisements that play during your live broadcast, lasting between 1 to 5 minutes.

Who Will Hear These Ads?

Listeners in locations where Zeno has audio ad inventory will hear mid-roll ads. For example, in the United States.

How Can I Activate Mid-Roll Ads on My Station?

Zeno Plan subscribers have three ways to enable mid-roll ads:

1) Metadata Trigger

Ideal for stations broadcasting from a Studio or encoder.
Controlled trigger that does not interrupt your show.
Minimum Requirement: At least 1,000 sessions per week consistently for 4 weeks.

2) Jingle Trigger

Every time you play an audio file on your station, our system 'listens' for that specific jingle using fingerprint technology and automatically triggers mid-roll ads.
This method allows seamless ad insertion without manual intervention.
Minimum Requirement: At least 3,000 sessions in the previous week.

3) Scheduled Commercials

Ads play at set intervals (e.g., every 30 minutes: 1:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, etc.).
This method will interrupt the broadcast at scheduled times.
Minimum Requirement: At least 1,000 sessions per week consistently for 4 weeks.

What Are the Benefits of Implementing Mid-Roll Ads?

Smooth Listening Experience – Metadata and jingle triggers allow seamless ad insertion, keeping listeners engaged without abrupt interruptions.
Broadcaster Control – You choose when ads play, aligning breaks with your programming schedule for a better listener experience.
Increased Revenue – Custom mid-roll ads can boost your earnings by maximizing ad impressions during peak listening times.
