PLANS FAQ:

How does monetization work?

Upon subscribing to a Zeno plan, ads will be activated on your stations. This means you can earn money from audio ads played on your live content, regardless of your audience size.

The amount of $$ you can earn depends on your audience size and your ad impressions. As such, it is important to boost your listenership (promote your Zeno.FM microsite and station's profile within the Zeno app). When your station(s) play ads, each time the ad is heard by a listener, it counts as an ‘impression.’ We calculate your earnings based on the number of impressions your stations generate.

Zeno offers a fixed CPM fee of $1.125 for all paid Ad impressions, regardless of the country in which the ads are displayed.

Here’s how it works:

For instance, if your stations gathered 100,000 impressions, the calculation would look like this: 100,000 impressions ÷ 1,000 x $1.125 = $112.5 in earnings.

You can monitor your Ad impressions and revenue in the Finance tab of your Zeno Tools dashboard. Please note, those figures are not final and are subject to change.

We recommend monetizing for a minimum of 3 months to give you an idea of how much you could earn from advertising and, of course, to heavily promote your content to your audience.

Our billing cycle operates as follows: Ad revenue is paid 90 days after the performing month has ended. For example: January ad impressions are paid late April or early May.

To receive your first payment your account must have a minimum payable threshold of 100 US dollars. Once your revenue reaches $100, our team will contact you for your bank details and additional payout information.

TIP: Boost your monetization possibilities by actively promoting your station's profile (in the app) and microsite through your Social Media channels and other resources to attract more listeners.

How can you track Ad Impressions?

To track Ad impressions, follow these steps in your Account:

  • In the left margin, click on Analytics

  • On the top, select Streaming

  • Set your desired criteria/time period and click 'Get Analytics'

  • The Total Ad impressions is shown in the first row of the Analytics display.

Remember, your total Ad impressions determine your monetization opportunities.

We do have agreements with ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC in the United States, covering content on our zeno.fm website. It’s essential to ensure compliance, especially when broadcasting beyond our platform.

All paid subscriptions now include Monetization/Revenue Share. This means you have the potential to earn from audio ads featured in both your live broadcasts regardless of the size of your audience.
